If you're looking to modernize your classic Z with a pre-installed EXTERNAL fuel pump adapter and fuel sender — without paying full price for a cosmetically “perfect” tank, this is the answer. You get all the rugged performance, lightweight design, and benefits of a poly tank, with just a few superficial imperfections.
Includes the following components:
(1) Yellow zinc coated steel EXTERNAL fuel pump adapter - with 1/4" NPT ports for fuel pickup and return, plus a 5/16" barbed vent. Pre-installed pickup and return tubes.
(1) VTS Custom Fuel Sender
This combo provides the installer a straight-forward method to connect the factory external fuel pump (or aftermarket external fuel pump) to the poly tank with their own choice of fuel hoses and adapters. The VTS fuel sender can be used with the factory fuel gauge or any aftermarket ohms programmable fuel gauge (see the Fuel Sender page for more info).
Aesthetic Notes:
Factory blemishes: These tanks may include cosmetic imperfections (scratches, swirl marks, discoloration, etc) that do not affect structural integrity or performance.
Subtle warping: Slight dimensional variances are expected due to the nature of the polyethylene molding process and do not compromise functionality. Due to the varying degree per tank, we cannot document each individual tank with sales images. Expect the tank walls to be curved in areas where originally flat.
Despite these cosmetic quirks, each tank still meets the same rigorous performance standards as our regular poly tanks.
All tanks have been inspected and passed quality control, functionality is not affected.

(1) 70-78 Fastener Set -required for the original 240Z and early 260Z oem steel fuel tank bands as the original hardware will not be long enough to secure this poly tank
(1) 70-78 Fuel Tank Rubber Strap Set -original rubber strapping degrades over time
